Remembering Pamela
Sometimes in life we meet people that just leave an everlasting impression on us. Pam was one of those people for me. I knew her for quite some time but never really got to know her until Junior year at MHS. We had US History together with Mr. Short. We had been in marching band together for two years already but since I was on colorguard we never spent much time together. I remember sitting beside her in Mr. Short's class and she always had a smile on her face and an ear ready to listen to anything on my mind. She also convinced me to go to First Priority with her. That was always a blast. While I have not always been as faithful as I wanted to be she never held it against me. She just kept encouraging me without pressuring. I was so impressed with her devotion. Her spirit and kindness were unbelievable. She made me want to be a better person, more like her. Words just cannot express how great of a person she was. Definitely one of those that even after meeting her just once, your life would never be the same and you could never forget her.
I had not seen Pam since our graduation in 2001 nor had I been in contact with her. But anytime I would read through my yearbooks from JR. and SR. years and see her messages she wrote to me I would smile and wonder what she was up too. She was someone who I really looked forward to seeing again in the future at a reunion. Living so far away from "home" makes it very hard to keep up with anyone. I lived in Florida for two years and have been living in Nebraska for eight months. I was extremely shocked to hear of Pam's passing. I did not hear the news until the evening after her funeral and was very sad that I was not able to be there for her services. Even though I had not talked to or seen her in so long, she left a huge impression on me and she will be missed. I truly feel blessed to have had the chance to know such a lovely person. Mr. and Mrs. Darnell and Ben, your family is in my prayers
God Bless,
Miranda Lee Crisp
