Remembering Pam [Jennifer Kay Ventura]

Dear Ed, Betty, and Ben,

I am so sorry for your loss.  Pam was truly one of the most wonderful people I have ever met.  Though she was the same age as me, she was really the most amazing teacher and role model I have ever known.  I remember meeting her and Elizabeth our freshman year, and I still remember all the crazy pictures winding around on their walls.  They were so sweet and comforting to everyone in Decker.

My sister was in her small group and talked about Pam ALL the time.  She really looked up to her from the moment she met her.  She is in Venezuela this summer and sends her love.

Right towards the end of school we all ate at Ms. McGill's house one night and I noticed something about Pam.  She sat there and asked EVERYONE about THEIR lives and how THEY were doing, and didn't even talk about herself or problems she was facing.  She cared so much about everyone around her and truly had compassion for people.  I remember hearing her testimony several years ago and seeing her tell about the colonoscopy she had and laughing so hard about it.  She smiled ALL the time.  She really soaked up life and was always so active in enjoying the things around her.  She was so amazing and I am so sorry for your loss.  Pam had such an impact on everyone she met.  I will never forget her or her sweet spirit.

God Bless,

Jennifer (Kay) Ventura
