Sweet Spirited Pamela
Dear Ben:
I remember Pam as being someone who ALWAYS had a smile on her face. I was a freshman at GWU when I first met Pam. She walked up to me at one meeting of the Verge and it was there that she introduced herself. We carried a short conversation and I learned who she was and got a glimpse of the heavenly father just by talking to her for a short time. Although we never had classes together I remember seeing her all of the time. We carried a couple of conversations that were very good. I was not as close to her as many others was but I do remember the person she was. Pam always smiled. She made it a point to wake up each day and live life to its fullest. She would smile at everyone passing by and she always said hello to people even if she didn't know who it was. I would pass her in the DCC or on the quad or somewhere else and she would always say hello and always have a smile on. I never saw her without it on her face. You could see the light of Jesus shining through her. She was such a woman of God and she lived that way. I pray that we can all live a life that is as good as she lived, one that is glorifying to the Lord. I will never forget the time when she told the story of when she went to see the waterfalls. How the fog parted when she and Walter prayed that if it was God's will that they will see the falls than it will happen. She was telling the story of how God still works miracles and the story of the waterfalls is what she was telling us. She became so happy and knew it was God, she just started crying because of the gift that God gave her and the other three that day. Tears filled my eyes as I listened to her tell the story of the waterfalls and how she was so thankful to God for that moment. I will never forget how she felt and her love for the Lord. I pray that we can all learn from the person she was. Just to wake up and smile at everyone we pass by and just say hello is something that Pam would love. I will never forget her loving spirit and her smile that was contagious.
We love you Pam and we miss you. Can't wait till that day when we will be reunited. God bless!
