Music Scholarship in memory of Pamela

Ed, Betty, and Ben,

Just a note of thanks for your donation to the Mooresville High School Pride In Motion Marching Band in memory of Pamela. We were proud to award the Pamela Darnell Memorial Scholarship to senior Alisha Younts. Alisha was drum major this year with the band and a fine clarinetist. We were looking for someone who exemplified the same standard of character as Pamela. Alisha is a mature young lady, a faithful Christian, and a very kind, generous person. Ken gave a very moving speech about Pamela to the over 400 attendees at this year’s band banquet. Pamela touched everyone she came in contact with, and Ken and I will certainly never forget her generosity of spirit. We will also never forget your faithfulness as band parents. I can’t begin to imagine the grief of losing a child, so I just think about how Pamela is keeping everyone entertained in Heaven with her smile, laugh, and joyful heart!
