My memories of Pam

There are few people in this world who can easily make an impact on so many
different people in as many different ways as Pam has. She was truly one of
those special people that could light up a room just by walking in and could
calm the most tumultuous soul with only a few genuine words. After I moved
away from Mooresville to go to college, I eventually decided to cut all ties
with my high school life. I rarely thought about my teenage days and fully
immersed myself in my college career and college life. Moving to Indiana
after I graduated I have rarely reflected upon those people that have
touched my soul in a meaningful way. That changed, however, once I learn
the unfortunate news that Pam had gone to the Lord. I walked around in a
stupor for the rest of the day, unable to focus and on the brink of tears.

I first met Pam in Marching Band, where I was several years her senior.
Always cheerful and caring, she easily made friends and had the ability to
care for a great number of people at the same time. Later, I was a member
of First Priority with Pam and she served on my advertisement committee that
made posters for upcoming meetings to post around the school. Pam was
always someone I could joke with. With a great sense of humor, I could
carry on an entire conversation of nothing but Marching Band "inside jokes"
and seeing her smile could lift the gloom of the most mundane day.

Genuine friendship come with a price, you have to give a little bit of your
soul to another in order to really have a connection with them. Pam was
bright and special because she gave those little pieces of herself to an
amazing amount of people. And in return she carried a little bit of each of
her friends inside of her. That is probably why I am tearing up right now
is because Pam has a little piece of my soul and I feel a little less whole
knowing that such a great person is no longer a part of this world. The
impact of my memories of Pam has effected me greatly over the past couple of
months and I am only sorry that I cannot more adequately express the impact
of Pam's life on her friends and how much worse off humanity is with one
less special person, like Pam, in the world.

My deepest sympathies and condolences go to the Darnell family and to all of
the friends that Pam has in world. Pam will be greatly remembered and sorely
missed.

Sympathetically,

Brent S. Liner
