on our way to oklahoma we had thunderstorms on each side of us and it was breathtaking. the fury and madness of the storms as the lightning was boldly proclaiming its presence filled the sky, but above it was the clearest midnight blue i have ever seen and the stars calmly glistened. i've been in deep thought since i found out about pam, and after talking with walter it just leaves me...well i don’t know what it leaves me with....but God was definitely speaking to my heart as i left chicago and it wouldn’t have been able to happen if my flights didn't get delayed. sometimes all we see are the thunderstorms, but being able to step back and see that above the trials and storms that come our way, there's a clear sky that is proclaiming peace and rest. all we can do, all i can do during those times is to push through those clouds. Jesus said that we should build our house on the solid rock for when the rains come. The storms are sure to happen, but if there’s one thing that I have learned in this past year it is that death does not mean defeat. push forward and continue the work that pam started for the kingdom. Since I am unable to be there for the funeral, I’m dedicating a song for her tonight.
